Abstract:

In the present work, the syntaxons published by Salvador Rivas Martínez are collected, after the years he dedicated to the study of America (including Alaska), Canada and Mexico, as well as South America (in particular in Peru, although practically all South American countries), although only a part of the inventories carried out throughout them have been used to date. In total, 207 syntax-ons are mentioned referring above all to climactic vegetation, although in some cases reaching therophytic grasslands, of them 168 are from North America and the remaining 39 from South America. The name of the syntaxon, its authors and the place of publica-tion are indicated for each of them. They are arranged in alphabetical order.
