Abstract:

52 vegetation series, geoseries and geopermaseries as well as their faciations and geofaciations recognized in Asturias are listed and described. The number of cartographic units represented in the "Map of vegetation series, geoseries and geopermaseries from Spain: Asturias� is 50. 40 are climatophilous, temporihygrophilous, edaphoxerophilous and of dunes, whereas 10 are edaphohygrophilous. 11 biogeographic districts represented in the Asturian territory, included in one region, one province, two subprovinces and four biogeographic sectors, are more accurately delimited. A dichotomic key based on phytosociological bioindicators for the identification of the potential vegetation from the deforested areas in Asturias is also included.
